I have a LG front loader that I love. I can stop the washer with a pause button if I need to add anything. The door has a stop so you can leave it slightly ajar if you'd like. I have always left it open, and have never had any problems with it. The filter is on the front, so it is easy to clean. I've been very happy with it. We've had it 7 years.
