It's a really great machine! Lots of tech that's amazing when you learn how to use it. Bernina is having a sale that starts today. All high end machines (including the B880) are 20% off MSRP. MSRP is $14,999. 20% off is $11,999. Usually your Bernina dealer will be much lower than 20% off with their every day price. $9,000 is pretty good, with all the other stuff you're getting with it.
The price for a service will vary, depending on where you live. At our local shop, it's still $69.95 for a full service.
Bernina requires their dealers to give at least 1 year of free service, an in-depth class and support. The warranty is 20 years on the main parts and circuit boards are covered for the first 5 years.
It's important to get the firmware updates when they are available. The 880 has had at least 10 updates since it first came out.
