Silly Susan, You are just too funny and you keep us all motivated to try and slash our stash.
I have been very good not buying stash. It doesn't mean I haven't bought any since January. Because I have fessed up when I did. But, I am trying to make much more thoughtful purchases and checking my stash first before buying instead of after. And, I have even compromised on wanting to run out and find the perfect piece by excepting that I have an almost perfect piece at home that needs to be used first.
But, it seems I have traded stash for quilting books.
So, now, I have to add the no buying of anymore books to my list. I have been so bad lately. I've probably bought 10 in the last few months. Most have been used and second hand. But still, I feel I am just trading one habit for another. So, no more books either. I really loved the ones I picked and bought. But, now, I need to stop buying and start creating from all those wonderful books I've bought.
It would be different if I was quilting like a mad woman. But, I have been in a quilty slump since one of my fur babies got sick several months ago. I knew his time was coming. And, two weeks ago tomorrow I helped him cross the rainbow bridge. But, I'm still struggling to concentrate. I am doing a little here and there trying to stay busy. But, yeah, I miss him being under my feet while I sew. Which was his habit the last 6 months of his illness.
Teen, I was sorry to hear you too have a sick kitty. My DD recently adopted what she though was a kitten for her daughter. Come to find out she's probably closer to about 2. But, DD is still happy with her. I think she may have adopted a kitty with severe allergies. I'm glad my DD is helping her. It was the cat's last chance at adoption. They were going to put her done if she didn't get adopted. Other then allergies, she seems nice from what DD says. They live in another state from me.
