I usually use Mettler. Quilt shop had Masterpiece by Alex Anderson on sale for $6.00 a spool. Really great thread.
Always use a good quality thread. Poor quality threads will leave a lot of lint in your machine. Machines are sometimes pickey and you may have to try a couple brands to see what brand yours likes. Don't buy a lot of any one brand until you find what you like and what works best in yout machine.
