You are going to one of my favorite places!!! My parents had a condo in Gatlinburg so for 12 years we would go there about two times a year. They sold their condo 5 years ago. So I was making a few things back then, but not as much as now. I remember going to Foothills of the Smokies Quilt Store in Cosby (about 35 minutes from Gatlinburg) -- they were very friendly. https://www.onlyinyourstate.com/tenn...quilt-shop-tn/ I did a quick google and there will be a couple places in the area that look good.

May I suggest eating at the Applewood Farmhouse Restaurant? Wonderful home cooked food with free Apple Juleps and Apple Fritters -- yum! http://applewoodfarmhouserestaurant.com/ In addition I think you will really like the Artist Loop in Gatlinburg - 11 miles of so many artists and craft stores. https://www.gatlinburgcrafts.com/ And spend as much time as you can in the National Park -- so many beautiful areas! We really love the waterfalls -- some are right off the road, some an easy hike, and some are quite a trek. The visitor center will have a guide which places them on a map and tells you how easy it is to get to....or go to the National Park Service website to pre look at their brochures and tips https://www.nps.gov/grsm/index.htm If you have any other questions about the area please feel free to ask -- we loved the area so much both my girls did their High School senior pictures there.

One of the quilts on my to-do list is a picture quilt of the mountains to represent our time there. Enjoy!
