When I wrote about putting the new board over the old board, I didn't say that the old board is really very old. You can tell, since it's wooden tho. My Mom and Dad got it for a wedding shower gift and they celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary this year. The old ironing board still works and it's always set up, so I don't move it around hardly ever or fold it up. My Dad was surprised I still had it and used it. It's so heavy he said, but that part doesn't matter to me.
