When we built the addition over our two car garage, it was designed with a longarm in mind. We put plugs in the floors where I knew both my LA and DSM would live so not to have cords running across the room. My cutting table and ironing board are in two alcoves (dormers). The room is approximately 16 x 24 ? Maybe bigger. My LA is on casters and can easily be moved a little direction if necessary.
