Default Hugs and Kisses

I finished my granddaughter's college graduation quilt in the hotel room the day before presenting it.
Pattern; Hugs and Kisses from an online picture
Fabric; Northcutt Artisan line, Blue Lagoon - has gold accents
Sashing; Northcutt mottled lime green
Border; A batik from JoAnn's with gold swirls
Backing; JoAnn's Keepsake
FMQ; Large Cs from a Sewveryeasy Youtube video. Border Ruler work - Angela Water's Taj. M's favorite color is green, but when I told her I had some blue I wanted to use, she said, "I like blue, too." That's where the color scheme came from. The colors in the quilt are more intense than the photos.
I traveled from Northern Michigan to Southern New Mexico to attend the graduation and present the quilt. Lovely trip. Excuse the room decor - fake Spanish Colonial. Sorry the pictures are on their side.
