I vote for the cute, colorful paw prints for the border.
The pattern is Monster Mischief from More the Merrier Designs,
www.morethemerrierdesigns.com. They had a booth at the Everett Quilt Show and this pattern seemed perfect for newly announced grandson due in November. My husband actually choose this pattern out of many on display.
