Same goes for the 19 FQ's, you can't get a fat quarter out of a 1/4 of fabric.
My calculations were assuming there were 4 fat quarters in a yard of fabric (presumably 44-45 inch width fabric). I didn't calculate what a fat quarter actually is but took the "4 to a yard" as a given. Using this assumption, if you need 7 fat quarters, one yard would be 4 of those 7, and 3/4 yard would be the remaining 3, right?

In any case, I will pad my fabric purchases, when I buy, because I live in fear of running out of fabric that I cannot, later, find again. I'd always rather have too much than too little and can find uses for anything leftover.
