Buy yardage and go to some of the wonderful internet stores where you get fabric for $2.99 to $4.50 a yard - good brand names, just a year older fabric. You need to make something on this to make it worth your while. Have a heart to heart with your friend and explain your expenses and time and machines and software and thread and good fabric - you got the idea!
