Yay me, no more fabric buying in the past week and I have all my blocks for the Wonky Bright project sewn. I am still in the process of pressing and then it's on to trimming but here's what they look like so far. Keep in mind that I am starting with them over-sized and ragged as shown and then will be trimming them in various ways, so the single block picture shows how I will skew the square for cutting.
So that is how those wonky things are cut with a regular ruler. Figures, someone sees me coming and can talk me into spending money on special rulers when regular works. Thanks for the visual.
I am doing good on this fabric thing. 5 months down and no fabric buying of any kind. I have pulled from the stash only. Now that I see this wonky thing, I am going to do a scrappy wonky. Sometimes I feel so stupid, its all in front of my face and I can't think of doing scrappy stuff to use the scraps that are piled up as bad as the good stuff.
