I'm hoping to get the new garden beds planted. DH is out getting the rest of the fencing around it. I have free range chickens so don't want to plant anything until the fence is up or it may all become chicken food!
DH and I have eye dr appointments this afternoon (annual stuff) so we plan on picking up some plants at the same time. It's not really late for getting a garden in yet - but normally I do have it planted by early June and everything does OK.
We've still got too much standing water for most of the area farmers to be getting in the fields, the guy that rents our back pasture had to use UTVs to help herd the cattle to the pasture as it was too wet to back the trailer up to the gate. DH got to help with his Kawasaki Mule so he was real happy. He uses it almost every day and now wonders how he survived without it. Though this year it's the only thing that will make around the property without getting stuck!
