We like pictures, LOL.

There is a tutorial about cleaning and reviving http://www.quiltingboard.com/tutoria...s-t109859.html Several of us have used his solutions for wood cleaning and reviving. I recently used it on a bentwood case and was very pleased with the results. I have used it on treadle cabinets as well.

For the machine, the safest is sewing machine oil. I will usually take some of the metal pieces off and polish with metal polish. You don't want to get metal polish on the machine itself as that is what damages the decals or black japanning. There are 'stickies' in the vintage forum for cleaning the machine heads - How to Clean Up and use a vintage sewing machine - videos by Muv and Fav and Cleaning and repairing the Shellac clear coat on Vintage sewing machine heads

Hope this helps. Please post before and after pictures.
