size matters
hello all,
I am hoping to get some good advice here.
I have a window that does not open and about 3 months of the year the sun comes in. I would like to make a quilted wall hanging that covers it. I want to use a tension rod to hang it.
What I need to know is how wide I should sew the quilt. The window is 31 inches and I would like the quilt to fit snug. I need to compensate for shrinkage of the fabric when washed and shrinking due to quilting.
So, any suggestions as to how wide I should make the flimsy?
