Put her request in the column headed "My Grandma can do anything".
The one that came to my mind is the one that looks like tulips in a row. Each tulip could be a different color according to her request. There wouldn't be actually "one" in the middle but all over.
If you are up to the challenge, how appropriate if you'd do a Grandmother's Flower Garden! But I have a pattern that I made several years ago that is called Quick Granny's Flower Garden that is strips instead of hexies. It was in Quilt Magazine (no date on the pattern that I have) and the design by Marcia Hohn. It is headed The Quilters' Cache but don't know if it is in that online site or not. The plus on this one is that there wouldn't be an up and down as with the tulips in a row. It would be a lot quicker and easier, especially when creating it for a child.
