I haven’t used a frame with a domestic machine so I’m certainly not an expert. When I look at this I see one advantage:
1.not having to pin baste the quilt. This is part of the quilting process I hate.

However I see several disadvantages.
1. There is only a small space to quilt in. I usually do one of a kind FMQ for my quilts. The small space would not work with many of the designs I do. I assume it works ok for pantographs.
2. You have another piece of equipment to deal with.
3. You have to keep moving the quilt on the frame.

If if it wasn’t for the first disadvantage I dislike the basting so much I’d probably would have considered it. I bought a sweet sixteen mid arm, and baste on a table
