Our local shop charges $70 for a full service on any brand, computerized or mechanical. That usually includes everything but parts. If it needs a part, we'll call.

If someone brings in a machine that's less than $100 brand new, we try to fix it on the spot and not charge anything. Usually it's just a needle in backwards or the wrong bobbin, or tension adjustment -- something simple. Usually they're less experienced sew-ers on their first sewing machine.
