I just took apart the wheel and started cleaning and saw that! The inside of the wheel is disgusting with gunk, like a hardened grease that I've been slowly working out with a toothbrush lol.

Do you know what kind of grease I can use to put in the big round plugs? The manual says Singer Motor Lubricant, but I imagine something else would work too.

Also is it okay to oil the worm(?) Gear that rotates, I put some in last night while breaking up the gunk on it to get it moving, but then I thought oops is this part of the motor, maybe I shouldn't use sewing oil
