Spray basting - can hair spray be used?
I don't use spray to baste quilts, but a friend of mine does. She is tired of paying the $15 Cdn per can that it costs here, and was wondering if she could use hair spray or would it gum up her machine. I honestly didn't know, and hadn't seen any discussion on that, so she decided to try a sample swatch. I did suggest she research using Elmer's school glue as an alternative.
So, any thoughts on the topic?
