Ok, so it's not entirely finished yet, she has to put the binding on next week, but yeah.
I think it's pretty darn good for her first quilt. She doesn't sew her lines very straight, or consistantly at 1/4", so her blocks end up off measurement from one another by the end, and we had so fudge a lot of the seams, and try and stretch and press, lol, by the end it was pretty wonky, but it looks ok now that it's quilted.
I showed her how to do the FMQ, although I did most of the FMQ on the quilt, she'll do it next time all by herself. Plus, my stupid sewing machine decided to slow down and stop entirely like, 5 minutes from the end, so we had to switch to my newer machine.
Not sure what's wrong with the machine, it had the same problem last year and I brought it in for servicing, thought the problem was fixed and now the first time I use it, it does the same thing :( Basically it slowed down to a complete stop, and the wheel is super stiff when I turn it by hand... it won't even turn when I press the pedal *sigh*

Ok, so here are the quilts we were working on. Mine is the purple one, hers is the blue/green/pink one. To be honest, I like hers better!

close up... had to fudge the seams a bit, but it doesn't show so much now.
