All my July packages went in the mail today -- I hope you all have fun plans for the fourth. Our town is trying something different and doing fireworks on the 3rd instead of the 4th. They shoot them off our pier over Lake Michigan -- really beautiful. Logically it makes sense -- people were at the beach all day drinking and by the time fireworks happened in the sky we had already had them in the crowds. Near rioting a few times. Also, this will allow people to sleep in on the holiday. Again, logically it makes sense but....it's just not the 4th of July. But we have good family friends we always share the 4th with so good food and conversation. It's nice to stop, breathe, and think about how our country started.
