Just got back from visiting my friend with fabrics for her. She had found a box under the stairs with some serving pieces of my dishes (Yorktowne by Pfaltzgraff) and was going to give them away so checked with me first. Score! Several pieces I don't have and I have a lot!!!
So taking a computer break and then back to the preemie quilt. The columns are sewn and pinned together for the first go-around. I'd say maybe 30 minutes or less to complete the top but it will probably take all day! But I should have pictures soon.
Here's a picture of the first one, this is made from my recent Walmart buys, the purple pin dot was $1.00/yard and the package of strips too. The flannel I got on sale at Joann. This will be two preemie/twin donation blankets. There are some design considerations, they do want pieced tops (no cheater cloth or whole cloth) but no lumpy seams. No metallics on the fabric. Flannel on back. The second one I'm piecing in columns instead of horizontal rows. Same fabrics, similar concept, but different.
