Smglover, I love them both, they balance out each other. But the basic are some of my favorites. And what’s easy for one, isn’t for another. Here’s my first Boom quilt.

I give away the majority of quilts I make, but I can’t quite let this go. It’s special. Looking at blocks can take longer that sewing the blocks. But most fabric seems to say something to me about what design and color. And then i’ve Undone and remade blocks because I wasn’t happy.

Just have fun, find, mark and stick to 1/4” seam and end up at 12 1/2” square.
