Default 2 Interesting star patterns by Judy Hopkins

I'm trying to find a new pattern to use because my old faithful squares withcornerstones and sashing is getting booooring. I'm making a Dallas Cowboys quilt for a friend's birthday, so hey, stars!!

Anyway, I've been going through "Around the Block with Judy Hopkins" (1994, That Patchwork Place, Inc.) And I saw a couple of patterns I thought y'all might like.

#1 is called Twinkling Star (p. 119) This is a link to a google books preview of one of her other books showing the pattern. Sorry it's so long.

#2 is called "Unnamed Star. It's similar in design to the Twinkling Star, but maybe a little busier. Same deal on the link.

This is the only way I could think of to show it to you without having to make them and take a picture of them.
