Working with satin is like trying to put socks on an octopus.
This made me laugh!
My first quilt came from the cover of a magazine, (You know I was in trouble right there....) and was a queen size with applique tulips in each block. I had no idea how to applique. (still don't, mostly.) Heck, I had no idea how to make a quilt, but I persevered and sort of finished that quilt. I ended up tieing it rather than quilting and it wasn't pretty. It put me off quilting for years. I don't think I made another quilt until I came across a Rail Fence pattern at least 10 years later and thought I'd give it another try. That one came out a lot better and I've been at it ever since, with a few breaks here and there.
Not sure whatever became of my first quilt.
