To me, this geometric design doesn't say "scalloped binding". Your bias binding that you have will work nicely for traditional (straight edge) binding, too. When I did a scalloped border/binding I used Eleanor's ruler and instructions and it worked out nicely, especially for a first attempt. It seems that for beginning, a shallow scallop works best. The quilt I used the scallops on was a very soft, feminine quilt for my DD. I have also done the scalloped or curved corners. Those are very simple and still need bias binding.
