I tried to make a quilt as a teenager, hand sewing scraps together. It never made it. About ten years later, I attended a Bicentennial Quilt Show where I learned of a beginners class at a local community college. We made a sampler wall-hanging of techniques, as well as a block of the week for a sampler class. We hand quilted the blocks individually on a square frame. I still have both of those (finished) quilts, but some of the fabrics in the sampler have worn out.
