Tallchick's photo of her first quilt brought to mind my favorite pattern that I plan to make soon for my son using batiks. This one is called Barneby's Bands.

As I recall, the pattern uses yardage, but can easily be adapted to fat quarters. The fabrics used in this quilt are just fabulous. (in my opinion) If I could purchase them now, I would.
