I would just watch for sales and buy a new lamp. Ottlite has sales pretty regularly as does Joann's. My guess is that it may cost more to repair the one you have than to just purchase a new lamp. Last month during the "black friday in July sales" I got the Ottlite floor lamp with the magnifier and clip from Joann's for 62.00. Amazon has it now for 109.00. Just an idea. I hate that it is so hard to get anything repaired anymore.
