I'd love advice on those of you who've sewn The Crazy House quilt block.
My next quilt will be this block. I've done research on what it looks like and how to construct it and come up with two different patterns. One that is strictly squares and HST all the same size and another with rectangles/squares that form points and smaller rectangles for the centers. I actually prefer the second version with the smaller rectangles/squares for the center because there are not as many seams.
However, my question, why would you oversize the square to sew to the rectangle? Wouldn't it change the angle of intersection, causing the points not to meet in the center? I will definitely do a practice block both ways, but wanted to know if anyone else has done this block.
The squares and HST is the first link. My preferred with the question on oversize square for the point to the rectangle in the second link.
