Default Help me learn "Value"

I entered a quilt for the first time in our local quilt show. My goal is to use this as a learning experience.
One comment that was underlined on my Judges comments; was "Issues with Value"
Not sure if this means with the entire quilt or just some of the blocks.
My original goal was a scrappy quilt using fat qtrs that were not my favorite and had no real plan for.
I suspect the 2nd column, the 2 lower blocks are examples of missing value.
The pic is obviously just a portion of the quilt.
Please note: I am not unhappy or questioning the judges comments, at all. Just looking for creative growth.
Am I on the right track?
Thank you for any feedback. Jo
