[QUOTE=mizeddie;8310208]My daughter had this in her basement from a garage sale we had maybe 10 yrs ago. I have registration card for it (but forgot to take pic at time) which says it was sold to a lady in Decorah, IA, in 1952, but I think it's actually older than that. I've read all the information I can find online about the Domestic Sewing Machine Co. and find nothing. There are no dates on the manual or machine or parts anywhere.
So, any information someone can help with would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Hi mizeddie,

Your Domestic 6 appears the same as a White #8:

My 1st White Sewing Machine

White bought up Domestic & King in the mid 1920's. As mentioned earlier Singer shuttle, bobbins, 15x1 needles, and front slide should work.

You can email Katie Farmer at [email protected] and she can give you a make date with the serial number and more detailed information about the model. She is literally writing the book on White. Have fun.
