This is the only quilt I have ever given away. (I have to finish some before I can give them! :)) But I was very happy to do it for her. This was made and given to her at the beginning of last summer. A friend of mine found out she had Breast Cancer, luckily they caught it early enough that she had no chemo, but sadly she did have to have a mastectomy. I made her this quilt as a symbol of hope for her. I did a wonky star in a wonky star with BC fabric in the middle of the smaller star. Then just a strip of the fabrics I used down the back. I have to admit it was hard to part with as I would love a pink quilt of my own, but it was made with lots of love just for her and I hope she enjoys it. I just tied the blocks because I don't have a good foot for quilting on a machine, I should have brought it to a long-arm, but I didn't really know about them at the time.
