You should be using washable Elmer's Glue not permanent. Its just a temporary fix for when you want seams to match up. As someone mentioned it might harden and that's not what you want. I use Elmer's Glue for attaching my bindings, matching up difficult seams intersections alot of times but I want it to wash out when I'm all done. I bought the wrong bottle once and I keep that separate from my other Elmer's Glue bottles so I don't accidently use it on my fabrics.
