A bit lonely but feeling better today. The other dog and the cat are still here which is good because the hubby is going to be working all weekend, no Sunday bowling date this week
I haven't done the block sewing on the Scrap Metal fabric but I measured the long oddly shaped piece of yardage I wanted to use for the sashing. Had really gotten invested in the idea of using that fabric. It was way too small for my first choice of 2.5" cuts, but it was just enough at 2". As it turned out, I was 4" short of perfection plus a good sized piece of narrow scrap that could be pieced to make the 2 sashing bars I was short! And part of the reason I wanted to use that fabric is because it would make any seams just disappear which is good because you can't tell they are pieced unless you feel it.
