I am diabetes control so not even keto, my doctor and nutritionist says I can go up to 100 or so but I typically average around 65 carbs a day because I really want my apple or banana a day. My big treat is every other week when we go to Costco I get a hot dog and eat it bun and all.
Before shopping with the Hubby I had to feed him first and then go shopping. Now we pick up a rotisserie chicken and he eats part of it while I eat my hot dog. He also will sometimes get two hot dogs, no buns but hot dogs still have carbs and he now prefers the chicken.
