I adored the first one on her page. Reminded me of the quilts my oldest sister use to make. Her's seem to be recycled clothes and feed sacks. They were beautiful quilts. Most of her quilts are long gone including the one she made for me. I only wish I had treasured it more 50+ years ago when she made the top for me. I was a kid and finished it off myself with little to no knowledge of how to bat or bind a quilt. From that quilt on I longed to learn how to quilt. I watched at her feet how she hand stitched those tiny pieces of fabric. She was so proud of me when I started quilting close to 30 years ago now. So proud of me that when she could no long see she sent me all her remaining patterns. Many of which I used to make her a quilt . My sister was old enough to be my mother and I even have a nephew older than I am. She has been gone for several years now. This poem just reminds me of her. Thank you for sharing.
