To all who responded....I actually had the half square triangle that should have been used already made...somehow it got knocked to the floor and wasn't seen. The solid square was replaced yesterday afternoon. Not sure about using the plaid material in the photo yet...maybe an orange and black order and the plaid for a backing. For those interested this is where I found the pattern … even has a PDF!
