Well, friend one replied quickly with "I don't have anything that would work". Haven't heard back from friend 2 yet but I'm guessing I caught her in time to call off the search. I was laying out the Seahawk Pink quilt and couldn't find my spray baste so had to run out and get some more. While I was out I found a great piece of white with a red dot scatter that is perfect, was on sale, so ding me $1.99.

It's in the wash now, along with what I'll be using for the border around the sea scene panel. Guess I'll set up Bernie (the sewing machine) for quilting down the Seahawk Pink top. Or maybe I'll start laying out the Scrap Metal Blocks... or maybe I'll just make some lunch and turn into a sloth.

Edit: And in my defense, the very first thing I did was see if I had anything that was possible. Sometimes it is the basic stuff that gets me, I'll have to order some more basic Kona Black too. BTW, this fabric collection uses some very old stash along with one of my Walmart $1/yd purchases.
