Default Bow Ties are Cool is now finished (w/ a timey whimey border)

Just finished this quilt, based on 60' triangles w/ stripe fabric. The triangles were cut from strips that were 1 7/8ths inch wide. 4 different stripe fabrics were used. The backing is minky (my first time using minky) and is completely assembled and quilted QAYG. No pattern to direct you to I made it up from my head.

This was before I stitched the fancy stitch row, but from this distance you probably couldn't have seen it anyway.

I didn't use batting between the minky and front, at first I was really upset by this minky fuzz break through, but after I completed it I was actually very happy w/ it, it reminds me of the etching art we used to do in grade school.

I love this minky print it is fun but not so juvenile, more folk arty, and even better it was on clearance for just $4 a yard!

Here is the fancy stitching, you can also see the stripe in the binding that isn't as clear in the other pics
