I just bought a new Bernina. Activa 220.
It was about a grand. I do a lot of sewing and quilting.
My last one that recently broke is a Benina 1001 that I purchased 16 years ago.
This one has the basics on it and should do about everything that I need. Never had any trouble with the tension.
Yes the feet are expensive, but isn't everything.?!
I wanted one that I could afford and not worry about any payments. To each their own, but payments drive me
