People ask me often how long it takes to make something. I never know because I do projects in batches. I first cut and stenciled all the centers, which was a lot of fun, next I heat set all of them which took me two weekends. Then I cut all the 2.5 inch strips and matched them up with the centers, evenings after supper this past week. Then I chain stitched the borders on and trimmed. Next was picking out, ironing and cutting the backings, and stitching around. I did this early mornings this week since the time change totally through my system off. This weekend was turning, pressing and stuffing (never ever have I bought a 10 lb box of pillow stuffing until this project LOL) Last night I started glueing the seams closed while I wait for the invisible thread to come in the mail.

I thought of this idea a few years ago after seeing all the stenciled wood signs on Pinterest and at our local craft fairs. Fabric being my medium, I got to thinking, to be unique, I could take the same idea of the stencils and put them on fabric. I originally was thinking wall hangings, until someone mentioned pillows.
