my stepmother in law, passed away recently and my sister in law gave me her 1983 ERA ( realtors' group) cookbook, which is a compliation from all over the USA. It has the exact same cake in it.
Anothr good one from ERA cookbook: Maple-pecan pound cake
1 c butter, 3 c sugar, creamed, add 6 beaten egg yolks. Stir together 3 c.flour ( cake flour best but works with all-purpose as well), 1/2 tsp. baking soda. Add to creamed mixture, alternating with a total of 1 c. sour cream. Blend in 2tsp maple flavoring, 1 c. pecans and fold in the beaten whites from the 6 eggs. Bake in a tube or bundt pan at 300 degrees Farenheit for 90 minutes.
