Thanks for the tip Miss Butterfly, I know the evils of spray adhesive. I tend to shy away from using it on lighter fabrics. Most of my quilts are made for my family so light colors don't go well.
I had an Upholsterer in my shop use red glue on a white vinyl car seat, it bled pink. Needless to say the client wasn't happy and my Upholsterer was out of a job. I ended up eating the job, what profit I made went for replacement vinyl.
