Thank you for the replies.

I do like to go to a Mall at least once during the Christmas season. I like the decorations, watching kids get their photos with Santa and the music. There isn't a Mall in my town, so it is an outing to go.

Mumto2, I understand the attraction of getting an extra machine that takes the same feet, bobbins etc as your main machine. I have three machines ranging from 30+ years old to bought 3 years ago all of which use the same feet and bobbins. My latest machine is a smaller one that I take to classes and loan to my good friend who cannot afford a new machine right now.

My first grand baby arrives in March. I will be setting up an Education Savings Plan for him upon arrival. Neither of the parents are academically inclined, so I will take on saving for his future education. In Canada there is a grant that matches up to 20% of what I contribute to a maximum of $500 per year. It is worth my while to try to find $170 per month to contribute.
