It's absolutely worth it. And the pieces are so precise that they go together especially well. Every time you cut something, you lose or gain a tiny bit and it really matters when paper piecing. Thus, I'd never do a huge design of intricate pieces unless I was using laser cut pieces. The price fluctuates, so check Amazon, etc for deals. Paper Pieces had a cyber Monday deal (25% off everything), but I think that discount only happens once a year.
