I have a similar set-up -- my desk faces my sewing machine, ironing station (a board I covered that sits on two nightstands that have lots of drawers) and wall to wall shelves for fabric, etc. It gives me great pleasure to be in here, to look at my "stash" and design boards with all the great ideas (and some accomplishments!).
Because of a move, I've downsized from two (yes, two) large sewing rooms and am happy because my sewing room/office is well organized. If I had more room, I'd just have more stuff and it would become a burden rather than the pleasure it is now.
