I just bought a Zirkel (
www.thezirkel.com) magnetic pin catcher and I am in love. I have had a magnetic pin "cushion" for years, but it is nothing like this! It turns the pins so the heads face the outside of the bowl. It has a heavy base and now I don't have to worry about my pin dish tipping and sending pins all over. It is also just plain fun to watch the pins react with the magnet. They claim it's safe around computerized machines and electronic devices, altho I think I'd be careful if you have a pacemaker as the magnet is really strong.
