Yup one of our local quilt shop just closed after 25 yrs...she wanted to retire and no one wanted the business. I don't buy often at local QS's due to prices and they rarely offer coupons or discounts. I buy at Joann's their premium line when I have coupons. I do buy allot online because of great sales w/free shipping. I did recently find a Mom/Pop QS who have been in business for 50 yrs. Unfortunately it's 80 miles away but I do pass it once a mth and stop in and buy since they offer 20 off all their fabrics all the time. Plus after being in business all these yrs I want to support them since they are in a depressed area and in a shopping ctr where most shops are closed and abandoned. Due to their age and area I wonder how much longer they can hold out.
